H. Miyazaki, S. Ebisawa and S. Komatsu: Eavesdrop Detection System for Chaotic Communication with Mutual Optical Injection, Extended Abstracts (Optics and Photonics Japan 2006) (2006) 410-411.
We studied eavesdrop detection for chaotic communication system based on two mutually injected semiconductor lasers subject to optical feedback. Synchronization collapse between the two lasers, i.e. the transmitter laser and the receiver laser, caused by eavesdropping is numerically examined, and it is shown that both the transmitter and the receiver can detect eavesdrop. The proposed method of eavesdrop detection is expected to provide more secure chaotic communication.
